Anthony Kennedy (1811-1892), a native of Baltimore, served as a Virginia state legislator (1838-1842) and as a judge in Jefferson County, Va. In 1844 he ran unsuccessfully as a Whig candidate for Congress. He returned to Baltimore in 1850 and was elected to the U.S. senate (1857-1863). Ben.
