Rodney is listed as the Matanzas U.S. consul from 1849-53 according to his letterbook at http:\/\/www.latinamericanstudies.org\/filibusters.htm and\u00a0<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/politicalgraveyard.com\/geo\/ZZ\/CU.html\"><span style=\"color: #993300;\">http:\/\/politicalgraveyard.com\/geo\/ZZ\/CU.html<\/span><\/a><\/span> .
